(Okay, not true, my dad wants me to go to law school for some reason, but aside from that there's no pressure.) For me, it's not so much that I want another job because my motherhood plans aren't happening, but rather that for a while, I've been pondering a change and putting it off because of potential motherhood. I've been asking myself, if I never got pregnant, would I be happy doing this for years, and the answer is probably no. I like my job, but I really miss my old job (before I moved) where I felt challenged every day, and I'm hoping to do something that's a better fit. :-)Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09336628314435149912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3657123451990194155.post-37181581898724662262014-04-06T15:24:25.302-04:002014-04-06T15:24:25.302-04:00Actually, you can answer phones forever. If you feel like you want a different job, then cool-io.

But answering phone can be a great job. Especially if it frees you to up to do other things - to minister to people. To be flexible given your husband's career and the schedule that probably goes with it.

Speaking as someone with a job that isn't just answering phones, keep it! (Unless you don't want it, but that's a different question.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
